Sunday Church School
On Sundays from September to May, there is a Sunday School program for youth of all ages from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Our morning program begins with a large group activity and music. Each class is planned to include Bible study, games, and arts and crafts.
A class for adults is held each Sunday from 9:15 am to 10:15 am. This class is usually taught by one of the pastors and covers subjects such as Biblical Studies, Current Social Issues, History of the Church, and Book Studies. Specialguests with expert knowledge of a particular theme or from local community ministries may also be features for presentations during the year.
This is an every-so-often opportunity for informal dialogue on issues that face families, the community, or the world.
These are held each Sunday at 9:00 am for youth in Grades 7 and 8. Confirmation for those finishing the second year of studies is usually celebrated on Pentecost Sunday.
New Member Classes
New Member Classes are held for those who need instruction in the Christian faith or orientation to the unique doctrines and practices of the Lutheran Church. These classes may be on Sunday morning or in private session with one of our pastors.
First Communion Preparation
This class is held twice a year upon the request of the parent. The preparation is normally two or three sessions for those children/youth who have already been receiving communion or those who desire to prepare themselves for participation in the Lord’s Supper.
Summer Bible Study
This study typically focuses on one book of the Bible or a Biblical theme and is held on Thursday mornings during the summer.
