This is a no-contact option to ensure the safety of all participants. Zion partners with other local churches and groups from our area to prepare and serve the meals.
The Zion Clothing Bank is available every Monday from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. or by appointment—call the Parish Office at (717) 569-1359. Donations are greatly appreciated throughout the year.
The Hempfield Area Food Pantry, located in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Landisville, is a member agency of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank fulfills its mission by working in partnership with a network of community agencies.
The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank is an independent entity with a Board of Directors consisting of community volunteers. The Food Bank is also a member of America's Second Harvest-The Nation's Food Bank Network, comprised of more than 200 food banks and food-rescue programs.
From jars of peanut butter to canned vegetables, the Hempfield Area Food Pantry welcomes shelf-safe food contributions, as well as monetary donations.
The Relay for Life mission is to raise cancer awareness—providing funds for research in order to cure cancer. Zion’s Angels sponsors many events in the community. Several times a year, there are Zion’s Angels Barbecue fundraisers.
Twice a year, the Zion’s Angels go into high gear and produce chocolate products that are sold to the congregation for Christmas and Easter festivities. Other fundraisers are done annually to engage the congregation and our community.
The community program centers on local school students who may be in need of school supplies and/or backpacks.
Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of East Petersburg was honored to participate in the third annual Temple Beth El of Lancaster International Holocaust Remembrance Day program. The virtual roundtable extolled the importance, the necessity of our community efforts to do good, to educate and to be a part of something larger than ourselves.
