Our Sunday school program is held on Sunday Morning from 9:00-10:00 a.m.—September through May. Students groups are divided by age. Each class features age-appropriate Bible study, games and arts and crafts / projects.

These courses are designed to teach the fundamentals of Lutheran theology—Sunday mornings from 9:00-10:00 a.m. during the school year. The classes are offered for grades 7 and 8. When finishing two years of study, youth are celebrated as confirmed members of the church on Pentecost Sunday.

These classes are held up to twice a year for the children of our congregation at the request of the parents. Classes typically consist of two or three sessions taught by the Pastor. Participants learn the theology and ceremony of communion.

This week-long youth program is held in the evenings during the month of July for ages 6-12. Zion partners with our sister congregation, Trinity UCC East Petersburg to bring bible lessons, crafts, snacks and musical activities centered around the year’s biblical theme. These events are offered free of charge.

Zion provides scholarships funded by our congregants for the children and youth of our church to attend a week of summer camp at one of our two local Lutheran Summer Camps.
