Our Pastor

Ben Erzkus

With an uninhibited enthusiasm, Pastor Ben Erzkus brings vigor and new-found spirit to our East Petersburg Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Filled with unabashed joy, service and love for God, Pastor Ben adds stylish flair to every sermon. In addition to his uplifting, weekly messages, his community outreach makes him a special envoy of our congregation.

Pastor Ben’s spirit affects everyone. From his lime green Converse sneakers and the salience of his words, his energy encourages our parish to embrace life and love, everyday.

Our Worship

Our normal worship schedule runs from Labor Day to Memorial Day, consisting of one traditional Christian service—a 10:30 a.m. service that features our adult choir.

Our summer schedule consists of a single 9:00 a.m. worship service. The Holy Eucharist is celebrated the first Sunday of every month and on the Festival Sundays of the liturgical year. A nursery for young children is provided each Sunday at the 10:30 a.m. service and at all summer worship.

Members are invited to volunteer to serve in one or more of the following ways as part of the congregational worship team: Acolyte; Torch; Cross and Bible Bearers; Altar Care/Altar Guide; Assisting Minister; Usher; Greeter. Sign-ups for volunteer positions and times of service are in the main building hallway.
